This Cookie Policy explains how Handsy uses cookies and similar technologies on handsy.co.za and in the Handsy app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and POPIA Compliance pages. By continuing to use Handsy you agree to the use of cookies as described here.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They help the site remember you, keep you signed in, and understand how the product is used.

• Essential / session cookies: keep you signed in, protect against abuse, and make checkout, messaging, and account pages work. These are required for the service.
• Preference cookies: remember choices such as display or notification settings so you do not have to set them on every visit.
• Analytics cookies: limited first-party or privacy-respecting analytics so we can see which pages are used and fix problems. We use this to improve Handsy, not to build advertising profiles.

• Handsy does not use third-party advertising cookies or sell cookie data to advertisers.
• Handsy does not run cross-site behavioural advertising networks on the marketplace.
• We do not use cookies to decide your Trust Score. Trust Score is based on account behaviour such as orders, reviews, disputes, and verification.

• Session cookies expire when you close your browser or sign out.
• Persistent cookies last only as long as needed for the purpose (for example staying signed in) and are then deleted or overwritten.
• You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Look under Settings → Privacy or Cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop you from signing in, adding items to your cart, or completing checkout. Device-level tracking controls (for example Limit Ad Tracking) do not turn off cookies that Handsy needs to operate.

If you follow a seller’s card checkout or payment link, or open an external site from a shop profile, that third party may set its own cookies under its own policy. Handsy does not control those cookies.
